We're a group of individuals representing local businesses throughout Shrewsbury, Telford and Shropshire. While we're all seriously-minded about our businesses, and members of this group primarily to generate opportunities, we're also a perfectly normal bunch who enjoy each others company in a social environment too - often taking part in some great fund raising events or just heading out for a jolly!
Having had experiences within a multitude of other styles of networking groups, SBN was originally formed a decade ago using what we considered to be the strongest elements of these groups, and leaving behind the parts which have seen so many others fail over the years. The group is developed by its members, for its members and has seen literally millions of pounds of business generated.
We get together every Thursday morning from 6.45am (yes, that early) until 8.30am at Shrewsbury Town Football Club.

About
A member of SBN takes the opportunity to discuss and promote his or her business over a period of time amongst the group. This is done through weekly exposure during the meetings and regular 'one to ones' outside of the meeting too.
Generally speaking, members get to know a new member over a period of time and at some point one or more will probably use that person's services for themselves or someone close.
From here, assuming the transaction was as good as it was promoted to be, that member is given a glowing testimonial and then promoted by all other members to their extended network of contacts.
It's a trust thing and once achieved, the member continues to show dedication and commitment, then the referrals flow!
