Now in the fourth generation of the Painter family, Frank Painter & Sons are widely known and respected as Shrewsbury's only totally independent four Generation Family Funeral Directors. Founder of the business, Frank Painter began serving the local community as a Funeral Director in the 1930’s, followed in later years by his son Alan and more recently by Frank’s grandsons Chris and Mike and great grandsons Alan and Ben.

Our Family
It has always been of paramount importance to the firm to give every help, advice and assistance to bereaved families. Thus hopefully in some small way easing the trauma, uncertainty and distress caused by bereavement.

The funeral service offered by ourselves is individually tailored to the requirements of the family concerned and is at all times under the direction and personal supervision of Mr Chris Painter and Mr Mike Painter, whose dedication and commitment is a mirror image of their father and grandfather before them.

It seems odd to write a review for a funeral directors, however this is just a small way in which my family and I can show our complete appreciation for Chris and his team. After the death of my mother, my sister and I had no idea what to do, what was needed and what we had to organise. Chris was amazing and helped us every step of the way. He made an awful situation as easy as it could have been, guiding us every step of the way. Everyone you deal with at Frank Painters & Sons has the most caring and sincere manner and we can not thank them enough!

Hand on heart I can honestly say Frank Painter and sons are amazing. They were amazing when my dad passed, always addressed him by his name to us instead of saying the deceased. Checked up on us, did all they could if we needed to ask anything and all round fantastic. We cannot thank you enough for all you did for us! You made things easier through a really tough time.
